Due to inclement weather, the Arlington Public Schools Summer Activities Fair has been rescheduled to the snow date, Fri, Feb. 19 from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 2nd Street, South. This event is free to the public and no pre-registration is required.
The event will provide Arlington residents with the opportunity to obtain information about activities that will be offered this summer by a variety of organizations. Representatives from approximately 100 different programs will be available to talk with parents about:
- APS Summer School
- Arlington County Parks and Recreation summer programs
- Academic and art programs
- Day camps
- Sport camps
- Overnight camps
- Camps offering accommodations for children with special needs
A complete listing of participating programs will be available online
after Feb. 1. At the event, teens may obtain a listing of organizations offering summer work and/or volunteer opportunities.
The event is co-sponsored by the Department of School and Community Relations and the Arlington County Council of PTAs.
