Williamsburg student-athletes participate** in ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) assessment. ImPACT is a concussion evaluation software program which serves as a tool for medically trained evaluators in cases of suspected head injury. The program assists the evaluator in determining an athlete's ability to return to play through a comparison of individual baseline data (pre-concussion test results) and post-concussion test results.
ImPACT testing is one tool of several assessments that determines an athlete's return to play. Many of our athletes have already completed testing, however, not all students are or will be tested.
**The following sports participate in the ImPACT (Basketball, Dive, Soccer and Wrestling)
If you have questions about the ImPACT program, please feel free to contact Ms. Ashley Hogwood, Activities Coordinator 703.228.2446
