The Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel (TSIP) are required by the Virginia Department of Education for all educators receiving or renewing instructional licenses after July 1, 2003. These skills will facilitate supervision and delivery of effective instruction in Arlington classrooms to assist students in meeting the Standards of Learning in technology and in using technology for productivity and curricular learning.
Teachers should meet with their ITC after downloading these documents to review the procedure for completion and approval. ITCs will use the Review Checklist to approve each teacher's submission and turn their name into the district office if they meet the requirements. Teachers are responsible for keeping their TSIP portfolio/checklist throughout their tenure in case verification is needed at any time. If you have any questions, please contact Drew's ITC Blake Tippens through email. The deadline each year is February 1st!
